It has been a busy year for Gardeners Delight Nursery, showing our perennial plants for pollinators to a standard that has gained us the accolades of Silver Guilt at our first RHS Chelsea Flower Show and our first RHS Gold Medal at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.

We grow a range of Perennials that will attract bees and pollinating insects to your garden. We grow 100% peat free and without pesticides.

The varieties that we grow are carefully selected for hardiness, ease of growing and cover all seasons and month throughout the year. Agapanthus 'Zambezi', shortlisted for RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year 2025

At Gardeners Delight we are very excited to be exhibiting Agapanthus 'Zambezi', shortlisted for RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year 2025, on our display at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. This is a unique Agapanthus. 'Zambezi' has broad dark green leaves, streaked with creamy-yellow variegation and bordered by a broad, golden-yellow margin. Long lasting, violet flowers are produced on tall stems and are borne above the foliage. 'Zambezi' is eye catching and makes a bold statement in any garden. Agapanthus ‘Zambezi’ is an excellent container plant and is the perfect border plant for the perennial garden.

We have been growing for over 25 years, and have helped our local towns and businesses gain both gold national and international awards with our stunning flower displays for Britain in Bloom. Our traditional growing plant nursery is based on the outskirts of Barnstaple at Roundswell and we still grow over 90% of the plants that we sell. We sell a range of our products online.

Agapanthus
Agapanthus are a plant that like a sunny position in well draining soil as they originate from South Africa. They are either evergreen or deciduous perennials, with ball shaped blooms made up of separate trumpet shape flowers. Agapanthus generally are within the shades from white to blue with some bi colours and can range from 15cm to 2m tall. They are very good for pollinating bees and insects
